The Basics

Madame Tussaud, a Parisian wax sculptor who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries, created death masks of famous victims of the French Revolution, including Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, and Robespierre. In the early 19th century, she toured Great Britain with her wax likenesses of famous—and infamous—figures, marking the start of the Madame Tussauds brand, which boasts locations across Europe, Asia, Australia, and in several American cities.

Each of the wax figures takes several hundred hours to make, with human-hair wigs, fiberglass eyeballs, painted details, and meticulous makeup. The Las Vegas attraction is home to a range of likenesses including athletes, musicians, comic book heroes, and, of course, Elvis. Madame Tussauds is one of the attractions accessible with visitor passes such as the Las Vegas Explorer Pass and Go Las Vegas Card.

Las Vegas Super Saver: Madame Tussauds with Gondola Boat Ride
My family and I selected the Trio Package which included a visit to Madame Taussade, a Gondola ride and an excellent lunch at Buddy V’s restaurant in the Venetian. A word of advice, make reservations for Buddy V’s ahead of time. We almost didn’t get to enjoy this part of the package because we were not informed a reservation was required for lunch prior to us picking up our vouchers. The gondola also requires a reservation but must be done in person.

ONLY ONE BUS

Big Bus Las Vegas Hop-On Hop-Off Open Top Tour
I enjoyed the tour guides knowledge of Las Vegas. However, you only actually can get on and off THE BUS at two locations to visit those spots before your one day pass is up. When we got back on at location spot #6 thinking it would get us back close to our hotel. We got to pickup spot #1 and everyone had to get off the bus while they cleaned and wait 39 minutes. We just took the 30 minute walk to our hotel.

Had a blast

Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass
We used the pass and saved over $185. The only downside was that the tour for grand canyon canceled our tour date but did reschedule for a cheaper tour. They did not include the Skywalk and we were kind of cheated by that as it was not equal in cost. However, we used it to the max with no problems.

Las Vegas Super Saver: Madame Tussauds with Gondola Boat Ride
We celebrated my mother’s 50th and the consideration given to our party was amazing. Buddy V’s provided a cannoli with Happy 50th written on the plate, she was sung Happy Birhtday during our Gondola ride and the museum was very entertaining. Great deal!

Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass
Great way to see the old and new strip. Knowledgeable guides and great advise. The bus stops close to the resorts and venues so you can get around and get off to where you need to be.

When to Get There

You can purchase a discounted ticket for entry after 6pm, otherwise Madame Tussauds opens at 10am. Also, keep in mind that sometimes the attraction closes early for special events, so check the website for updates. Overall, the best time to visit Las Vegas is during the spring and fall, so expect to encounter the largest crowds then.

The Venetian Resort

Madame Tussauds is located at the Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes, a major attraction at the resort that is packed with luxury shopping, plus cafés and restaurants. You can also take a romantic gondola ride along the hotel’s man-made canal for a taste of Italy in Las Vegas. And of course, there’s a large casino area and entertainment options.
