The Basics

First-timers should head straight for the Studio Tour, which takes visitors around the sound stages in the front lot, then heads to the backlot past the crash site from War of the Worlds, the vehicles from Jurassic Park, and the spooky Bates Motel from Psycho. Also prepare to face down King Kong, brave a flash flood and survive a shark attack, a spitting dinosaur and an 8.3-magnitude earthquake. The Studio Tour includes recorded commentary from Jimmy Fallon as well as live narration from one of the park's tour guides.

Skip the Line: Express Ticket at Universal Studios Hollywood
This was an excellent day out, only problem for us was when receiving the "tickets" via email, they did not come through with a bar code so we had difficulty at the ticket line, had to go to guest services to sort out prior to gaining entry. Really glad we booked skip the line Express, well worth the extra

Fully recommend, my family and I went on a holiday to universal studios, super busy from a 30 to 90 minutes wait line, but with this passes there was maybe less than a 5 minutes wait.

Studio tour was really cool

Universal Studios Hollywood General Admission Ticket
We have been lucky enough to also go to Orlando Universal a few times and so can't help but compare the two. The park is fun, well located and the studio tour was the best part. Getting to see so many things being currently filmed was very cool but the number of rides still need to increase to bring the theme park nearer to Orlando standard.

Great day, would highly recommended the Express ticket if you are limited to one day as some of the ques was 240 minutes. Straight on with the Express pass. Very enjoyable day with very little queuing. Food and drink inside is very over priced!!

Fab day out

Universal Studios Hollywood General Admission Ticket
Great day out, we didn't go on any rides as there not our thing but the shows there were brilliant. Was upset they start putting part of Jurassic park away before the park closes so we didn't see everything in one day. You need two day if you want to do all the rides as well as, overall a brilliant day out for all the family.

The ticket was little bit pricy. We enjoyed a lot. I really liked shows seats are reserved for express.

I enjoyed every minute of this visit. The train ride was good and set us up to know where to go and what to do. Plenty to choose from for food. All in all a fantastic visit. James Spence.

express ticket - upgraded to VIP

Skip the Line: Express Ticket at Universal Studios Hollywood
We arrived at Universal - way too early and was greeted by a rep and we decided to upgrade to the VIP pass. As I had been on a few occasions, I took the deal. My daughter and I really enjoyed the behind the scenes tour. The lunch was amazing, didn't have to wait in any of the lines, straight to the front at all the show.

Cool afternoon

We spent a cool afternoon at the Universal Studios. The place is really great and lots of fun. We expected but to see more things like history of it or historical performances. The park has a lot of entertainment, and the express ticket is really worth it, with that we were able to go everywhere without having to wait (without that you would have to wait up to 1 hour)

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Some tours include a combination of tickets to Universal Studios and Anaheim theme parks or transportation from downtown LA.

  • Snack food and drinks, including beer and margaritas, are available throughout the park. The best choices, however, can be found at the adjacent Universal CityWalk, a promenade of restaurants, shops, bars, and entertainment venues.
