Absolutely lovely, memorable afternoon

Our chefs, Luca and Carmella were as wonderful as you can get. The market tour was informational, the tips and tricks innumerable, the food scrumptious, and the vistas UNPARALLELED. As a bonus, the kitchen you will be cooking in is world class. Cannot stress enough how awesome Luca was. If you’re one the fence, BOOK THIS TOUR without a moments hesitation.

Luca, we love you! Can’t wait to buy your book and try the recipes. Luca and his crew were excellent in every way. Caring for the patrons, knowledgeable and fun. Starting with the market and food shopping was a great way to begin the class, the setting was beautiful and the food we prepared was scrumptious. There were 2 young boys on the trip that happily participated and Luca made them feel welcomed. We would definitely recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our day. The market was fun and cooking at the estate was amazing. The pasta lesson was excellent. It was very hands on and the team was very helpful and engaging with our ten year old boys. It was an experience we will remember for ever. The wine was great too!

Olivia - our guide - and Carmella - our chef - made this an amazing experience. By far our best tour. The scenery was great, and we loved seeing the market, learning to make simple Tuscan recipes, and eating the delicious food we helped make. Memory-making day, made even more special but Carmella's joyful singing and dancing.

Amazing honeymoon activity

My husband and I were on our honeymoon when we did this tour and we had such a good time. We went to the market and then to the cooking class. The chef was incredibly funny and the team did a great job translating. The view from the cooking area was gorgeous and we had a lot of fun meeting other people and cooking pasta from scratch among other delicious items. Would go back and do this tour again!

This has been the highlight of our trip. Oliva, as our guide, was so engaging and got all our senses heightened with a visit to the market. Then sweet Carmella sang and danced around the kitchen teaching us how to prepare a perfect lunch to be enjoyed overlooking the beautiful gardens and vineyards below.

It was a fantastic day in the hills of Tuscany! Luca is an engaging and entertaining host and a fabulous Chef. Carmela and the staff at the Villa made the experience a fantastic memory of a lifetime! I went solo, but I felt as if I was surrounded by family. It was a fabulous group and a wonderful time! I definitely recommend this experience.

Class size is too big!
Sherri_T
, Jun 2022
Luca and Carmella were amazing, gracious hosts!!! However, I felt as though the class size was way too big to really get the hands-on experience I was looking for in a cooking class. The trip through mercato centrale in the morning felt rushed as we moved from vendor to vendor to collect the ingredients for our class as well as another pizza making class for another group that afternoon. After a 15 minute bus ride to the farmhouse we started the class. Every step felt rushed while 20 people crowed around the counter to see what we would be making. Then you would crowd around the counter to get your turn to contribute to the meal (chop a tomato, toast bread or chop basil, etc.). The second course and pasta sauce were completely prepared by Carmella - it was explained to the class what she was doing as she did not speak any English. Pasta making was demonstrated by Luca and then we were each given a set up to make our own with everything pre-measured for us. This part of the class also felt very rushed. Once everyone was finished they collected all of the pasta for our meal and we were shown how to make tiramisu. Again, very rushed. By the time we were finished making our own desserts, it was time for the meal. The farmhouse is in a very nice location and the presentation of the meal was fabulous. Plenty of wine for everyone. The day ends with a bus trip back to Florence, but you are dropped off much further than where you were picked up so you need to arrange for a taxi or prepare for a much longer walk back to the city center. If it was not for Luca and Carmella, I probably would not have enjoyed this class as much as I did. They were absolutely lovely.
