Meh... Barely worth the money

It was with the money. If you come to Venice you have to visit Murano and Burano. They were two key artisanal locations embedded in the culture of Venice. This trip checked those boxes. There is no wow factor with this company though. The guide was bland and kind of boring. She knew a lot and was local but she didn't seem to like her job much. She couldn't wait to get the your over. She did the minumum she had to. The glass factory was a short demo and insanely over priced discounts. Oh and don't be fooled by the discounts, they only apply to glass over $1000. The cheaper stuff is full price. I think the combination of glass and lace factory demoes was about 10 min ALL together. The rest of the time was transit and shopping time. The guide only talked while on the boat. At each island she did nothing but guide us to each factory and tell us where to meet after we shopped.

What a wonderful way to spend our first afternoon in Venice! We landed in the morning, dropped our bags at the hotel, and immediately headed out for this tour. Being out on the water was so nice after sitting on the airplane all night! I had been to Murano before, but this was my first time in Burano and it was wonderful! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She was full of historical information but also local info as well. A boat tour was definitely the way to go--so refreshing and fun!

No air circulation

Enclosed boat with no air circulation. There was no way to move on the boat to get any air either. Very hot outside and we live in the desert in arizona where it is 46c so we are accustomed to heat.

We had a great time on this trip out to the Islands from Venice. Our Guide Francesca B. was able to transition easily and quickly from English to French (unexpectedly, two people in the group of about 16 spoke French instead of English) while she explained all about the history of various sites on the boat ride out to Murano and Burano. We started with a glass factory tour complete with a demonstration by a master artist. Then we went to the second Island where we were able to see lace being made by hand. We also stopped for lunch on the second island. Then a return boat ride to Venice. This was a great half-day trip out from Venice. These Islands were less crowded than Venice. I would definitely recommend going.
